Precision-Engineered Solutions
The Ineos Grenadier is delivered from factory with approximately 0 to 1 degree of positive caster. In comparison, a 79 series Landcruiser typically runs between 3 and 4.5 degrees of positive caster as standard. This is why many drivers find the INEOS steering twitchy in factory form.
Purpose-Built Solutions for Better Handling & Control
Our adjustable control arms allow caster to be
increased to approximately 3 to 3.5 degrees on a standard height vehicle. This brings the geometry
more in line with what is required, and significantly improves drivability, negating unwanted feedback
through the steering.
Built for Control. Engineered to Perform
With a lift installed, the factory pinion angle quickly becomes a limiting factor. As the front differential rotates downward, it increases the angle at the driveshaft-to-pinion connection. Adding positive caster makes this even more aggressive, which can lead to premature wear of the front CV joint.
By pairing our adjustable control arms with a rotated front differential solution, both caster and driveline angles are corrected together. This provides a usable range of 3–7 degrees of positive caster, supporting suspension lifts up to 3 inches.
Correct caster improves stability and control, especially on rough roads. It also becomes critical when towing, as tow ball weight can unload the front suspension and reduce caster further, resulting in a twitchy, unpredictable feel at highway speeds.
